<Text textformat="02" language="fre">On connaît l'importance de la valeur de l'honneur dans le monde méditerranéen et celle de la &#60;I&#62;baraka&#60;/I&#62; dans le monde maghrébin et musulman. L'ouvrage étudie, pour la première fois, la complémentarité dynamique de ces deux valeurs dans le Rif oriental (Maroc) en insistant sur la complexité des interactions sociales. Par l'analyse de nombreux récits locaux, l'auteur montre comment l'honneur se manifeste par la prise de risque et la remise en question permanente des positions acquises (notamment celles hommes de pouvoir) à travers la transgression des interdits et les échanges de violence. Il souligne que la &#60;I&#62;baraka&#60;/I&#62; des &#60;I&#62;chorfa&#60;/I&#62; (reconnus comme descendants du Prophète) s'exprime dans la médiation efficace des conflits d'honneur qui se conclue par une violence sacrificielle ramenant à la paix (temporaire) de Dieu. Cette valeur religieuse se manifeste de manière paradoxale dans la violence victorieuse du sultan du Maroc, qui dans le même mouvement légitime les groupes tribaux dans la pérennité de leur identité, ce que montre en conclusion, l'étude détaillée des cérémonies du mariage.</Text>
